Five Card Stud is the oldest variation of the poker. This is the first version of poker by the way, though it is not so widely played right now. Now Seven Card Stud poker is quite popular. But there are still many poker players, who like this game. The difference between Five Card Poker is that one of two your hole cards are placed with face up and everybody can see. In Seven Card Stud Poker the number of shown cards is higher. And here in stud poker strategy a starting hand is very important. According to the stud poker strategy you can raise bets when you are having these starting hands. Also these starting hands are good in poker Texas strategy, because Five Card Stud version is like Texas Hold'em poker. Also in stud poker strategy the bluffing is not very spread (like in poker strategy betting), because you have only one or two hole cards and your opponents can simply guess, what card exactly do you have and bluffing in stud poker strategy will be useless.
